Abstract The cross sections for the two-step process, represented by electron-impact vibro-electronic excitation $$X^1\varSigma ^+(v) \rightarrow A^1\varSigma ^+(v'')$$ X 1 Σ + ( v ) → A ′ of LiH molecule, followed radiative decay back on vibrational manifold ground state, $$A^1\varSigma ^+(v'')\rightarrow X^1\varSigma ^+(v')$$ , are calculated as a function incident electron energy from threshold to 1000 eV . final which results in an overall known also E-v process provided all possible $$v,v'$$ , transitions among levels, including continuum, electronic state. Two-photon mediated resonance production in e+e− collisions: cross sections and density matrices
Earlier described model amplitudes are used in this paper to evaluate both cross sections and density matrices for two-photon mediated resonance production in e+e− collisions. All 25 qq̄ low-lying S0, PJ and D2 resonances can thus be treated. Two independent methods are described to obtain the resonance production density matrices and cross sections. These density matrices combined with a resona...

15 صفحه اولMeson–photon transition form factors and resonance cross-sections in e+e− collisions
Meson–photon–photon transition form factors for S-, P -, and D-wave states are calculated, the meson being treated as a non-relativistic heavy-quark– antiquark pair. The full dependence on both photon virtualities is included. Cross-section formulas for charge-conjugation even mesons with J = 0−, 0, 1, 2, and 2− in electron–positron collisions are presented and numerical results for LEP energie...
متن کاملCross Sections for the Collisions of Alkaline Earth Atoms
The total attenuation cross sections, a*, were measured for collisions of an excited atomic beam of Mg, Ca or Sr with a target of Cl2 molecules. The experimental o* values equal: 85 Ä2, 100 Ä2 and 180 Ä2 for Mg*, Ca* and Sr*, respectively. Moreover, the reactive cross sections, OR were calculated, assuming the "harpoon mechanism" for the reactions in question. The obtained values are: OR* (Mg* ...
